A Victim’s Guilt

November 12, 2009 by knowsalltellsall

Author Eugene Stovall delves deep into the concept guilt and Frank Yerby’s concepts.  His novel Frank Yerby: A Victim’s Guilt, discovers historical facts that although accepted today, have been distorted.  Secrets that have been hidden  for years are reveals in three parts; a mother’s guilt, a lover’s guilt and a sister’s guilt.

In part one, a mother’s guilt, a princess named Sumayla is given the powers of Jewish mysticism by Moses Abulafia. She uses her powers to overthrow the emir and put her son, prince al-Kamil ibn Karim, on the emir’s throne.   In part two, a lover’s guit, Spanish-held Cuban born planters have been forced to sell their produce.  When these  hacendados are forces to sell their  highly prized Cuban tobacco, to the Factoria, Factoria pays little to nothing but earn huge profits in the European markets. The cuban planters plot against the Spanish by smuggling and rebelling.

In part three, a sister’s guilt, a former African chieftain, Wes Parks,  is living in Boston.  He is a fugitive slave in 1850 when the fugitive slave law goes into effect and Northerners  are ordered to return all fugitive slaves to the South.  Wes Parks is recruited into the Underground Railroad organization where he  summons Frank Yerby to Boston.

The three parts of this journey reveal to us what the real concepts of guilt are and how they formed into what they are today.  For more insight check out http://www.eugenestovall.com

What Makes A Great Book Club?

November 12, 2009 by knowsalltellsall

Many readers who are reading an exciting novel, want to share it with someone.  Unlike a movie, that you go to with people and can talk about with others, when reading a book, sometimes you are on your own.  You put the book down and are bursting with excitement at a secret that was just revealed in the story.  You want to tell your friends or family members, but no one has read the book and would not really get it.

Book clubs are formed for just that reason.  As part of a book club, a group is all reading the same book.  They come together to discuss the book, go over its plot points, its surprises and the underlying meaning.  It is a place where readers can share their points of view and get feedback on their thoughts. They can also explore other reader’s ideas and thoughts on the book.

A great book club is one in which the reader’s share the same interest in a particular author, genre or topic.  Everyone is enthusiastic about a common interest and book selection comes easy.  Discussions are more flowing and complimentary to each other.

To find a book club, there are online classifieds or groups formed in libraries or book stores.  You can also form your own book club by postings as in the same places.  Be sure to identify the type of reading  you would like to do in your book club.

Road Trip. . .Or Delivery

November 7, 2009 by knowsalltellsall

A road trip sounds fun, that is until you hit hour three.  Your butt starts to fall asleep, your eyes get blurry, you are hungry, you need to stretch your legs and you have 20 more hours to go!  It sounds like fun when you think about the radio blaring, the wind in your hair and seeing the country.  But soon the black tar all looks the same, for miles and miles and the novelty has worn off.  Maybe you should have considered having your car shipped instead.

When you need your car with you because of a move across country, or an extended vacation, 6 month snowbird stay or whatever, driving it there is not always the best option.  Gas and road damage can be costly not to mention, ruin your car.  And is not always the safest method.  Falling asleep at the wheel accounts for a majority of accidents on major highways.

Auto transport companies can get your car there for a great price and they can get it there safely.  They coordinate between shipping companies and you, in choosing your pick up and drop off dates and the method of transportation.  From open carriers to enclosed carriers, door to door drop off, single haulers to multiple car haulers, the choice is yours.

Auto transport is a great option to get your car where you need it without damaging your vehicle or yourself.  Check out Reliable Car Transportation.

Getting A Good Price To Ship Your Vehicle

November 7, 2009 by knowsalltellsall

The choice; drive your car up to 3000 miles to your new home, vacation home or retirement home. . .or have it shipped.  When you consider price, on one hand you’ve got gas and wear and tear on your car plus weather and road damage, but on the other hand you have the cost of shipping.

When considering shipping your vehicle, auto transport companies can be cost effective.  To keep costs low, be flexible with your pickup and delivery dates, if you can.  Choose locations that do not have truck size limitations and use open carriers that carry up to 10 vehicles.  If you are not moving your vehicle during winter or during rainy season, an open carrier can be a great way to reduce cost.  The open haulers are similar to what dealerships use to have their vehicles delivered.  With up to 10 vehicles per carrier, the cost is cheaper than a single bed carrier.

Your car is just as safe and handled just as gently if there are many cars or just one.  And sharing the cost, lowers your cost.  Drop off points that are centrally located, where you can pick up the car close to your destination, offers far more savings that door to door shipping.

These methods can save you a significant amount of money and actually make it possible for you to ship your vehicle. Do your homework and check out . . .
